About Papa
Papa Coyote composes and performs world-inspired jams with a positive message and a whimsical vibe. From Afropop to Zydeco, from a romantic sidewalk Paris Café to an exotic trip down the Nile, from a Caribbean Full Moon Party to the pounding drums of a Solstice bonfire, you'll be moving to his island-skanking sounds.!

Currently based in Portland Oregon, he has played from New York to New Orleans, up and down the West coast, and recently recorded in Egypt and Denmark.
With two CDs release as the Portland-based Papa Coyote band (Harmony and Unity, Talking Dog) and two with the New York-based Buddhahood (Rub the Buddha, Welcome), he has shared the bill with luminaries like Little Feat, reggae founder Toots and the Maytals, and jam legends like JGB. From Ken Kesey's flatbed truck stage to a Mardis Gras Parade Float, Papa has moved bodies and lifted souls.

Papa, aka Evan Stuckless, is currently focusing on a solo act supported by the astounding sonic capabilities of his digital accordion. He is working on a horn-driven multimedia extravaganza as well as on a new album's worth of releases throughout the year.
